COVID social restrictions were in place at Life’s Garden from 2020 through part of 2022. So instead of organizing parties for the seniors, we created themed gift bags for them until we could party again. We wanted them to know that we were thinking of them. They were not forgotten.
At our Zoom Leadership Team meetings, we brainstormed what to give 250+ people every other month that they would enjoy—and that was within our budget. Then we volunteers had fun getting together (masked) outdoors to assemble the gift bags. Staff at Life’s Garden delivered the gift bags door-to-door to each apartment.
