Pam Holt’s Story

Recording Secretary, Leadership Team

Retiree Pam Morgan Holt is the first Leadership Team secretary in the history of Friends for Life to issue meeting minutes within an hour after a team meeting ends.

“I challenge myself,” says Pam, who became secretary in 2020. “I am a retired software engineer, so I enjoy and can navigate all the tech. Zoom helps with this.”

Pam, a native of Marblehead, MA, and graduate of Wellesley College, followed in the footsteps of her late mother-in-law, Carol Holt, in volunteering with FFL.

“It’s a way of remembering her,” said Pam, who previously served FFL as a co-creator of table decorations for the social events FFL hosts for Life’s Garden residents. “I enjoy serving the residents. It’s fun to connect with them at each event.”

Pam is an avid quilter, a recovering engineer and an aspiring artist. The mother of three boys and a girl, she also volunteers as a Cub Scout Summer Camp Director.  She lives with her husband in Sunnyvale.

“I believe all kids are gifted,” says Pam.  “You just have to help them find that gift.”

“I am a staunch feminist,” she adds.
